WATCH DOGS 2 is coming to Xbox One and PC in 2017, publisher Activision said today.
The publisher also revealed a new map called “New York City,” which will be added to the game’s roster of online play modes.
“Watch Dogs 2 is the game that we are building and will be the most significant step forward for our portfolio,” Activision Publishing VP of Business Development Matt Smith told GamesBeat.
“We’ve been doing it for a long time, and we’re excited to finally bring it to our fans.”
The publisher said Watch Dogs 3, which is expected to launch later this month, will feature a new multiplayer mode.
“The most ambitious project we’ve ever built, Watch Dogs is a game that’s built on the most important elements of the franchise, including the iconic world and characters, the unique combat system, and a richly detailed world that has been lovingly designed for this incredible platform,” Smith said.
“Our mission is to deliver a game unlike anything you’ve played before.
And that means we want you to know that we’ve built a game for the next generation.””
